Discussion Points:
Insurance Changes
Lamb to advise. Potentially ASNZ insurance option to cover all clubs. slow process. Dan to contact Zimmer and ask for some information. Aidan has a contact too. Q suggests likely premiums increase due to higher asset value. also mention from Hayden to look at depreciation of hire gear (2 years old plus), admin container stock or products etc.
TAC asset estimate
Lamb to advise. Q suggests need to have an asset list with approx value to advise insurance – renewal due September 2025? refer above depreciation.
Q will look into building an asset register.
Accountant change (from 2 to 1)
Q advises – we have one accountant currently to work with Xero, and end of year accounts. 2nd one does bookkeeping – reconciliation in Xero. Lambs suggestion is for us to shift all to one company.
Planning for breaking NFP 50k threshold
Lamb to advise
ASNZ Workshop debrief
Lamb to advise
Planning for AGM – role descriptions, nominations, staying on/heading off
AGM due to be held in September. Everyone in this meeting is happy to stay on and be considered for the committee going forward.
24 hour event
Dusty Game – November? Lamb to advise
Member only game
Hayden suggested this is with regard to running a few games with no hires or new non-members – to allow for some club members to play a bit more fast paced or get practices in for Nationals etc. Mike suggested maybe Saturday monthly as a Member only day? Haydens idea to decide and list on the website a couple of weeks before. Members only to include members from other clubs eg – AWI/WASP etc… TAC members & affiliated clubs. No hire gear available on these days.
Interclub
Lamb to advise. Dan has been trying to arrange game days with another club – maybe the same thoughts are floating around. Look into arranging something. Hayden suggested CQB and night game Saturday, moving into full field normal day Sunday? Let’s look into arranging something this year.
Nationals Update
Committee to update procedures for fundraising or sponsorship games.
Re JAR Game – Q to invoice for the full game day hire rate, excl 1 person who bought their own gear. Once JAR paid, the funds are to go towards TACLESS for their accommodation – in full.
Lamb and Dan have teams sorted for Nationals. Both teams have registered & are working on accommodation & logistics.
Working Bee
Hayden wants to thank everyone for coming up to help out. Next working bee will need a digger – funds depending. Digger is hired for the whole weekend for a one day fee, and we need to make the most out of it. Price to be confirmed.
Hayden will put all names of attendees at the last working bee into a hat on the next game day. First name pulled wins big bottle of BB’s, 2nd name drawn wins small bottle. Hoping to encourage more members to attend. There is also a hope to do an end of year raffle of a bigger prize.
Supporting Club members participating in Nationals
Q wants the club to look into ways that we can support the team members to get to the new events.
Dan is working on another staff member/team building event with a plumbing company to encourage new members & bring more funds into the club.
Extra Guns
Look at investing in another 5 guns – Mike to look at pricing etc.
Option to be something different but still with easy to find parts/mags.
Revisit/Actions:
NZDF Training Day (Owner: Lamb, ETA: End of 2025)
Work in progress.
Shade Cloth + Awning (Owner: Hayden, Budget: $1,000, ETA: Summer)
Ready for the working bee, poles are needed. Target completion in Spring/Summer. Hayden to arrange poles closer to time
Toilets (Owner: All, Budget: $10k-$12k, ETA: 2025)
Awaiting responses to Lamb’s emails. All info sent, just waiting for replies. Lamb will chase up answers over the next couple of weeks.
Dan has contacted Michael re planning & payment – no reply, but Dan will try again. Q has advised we have approx 2k aside for the first stage of this project.
Hayden can arrange to clear the area over working bee days.
